What's is powering the first finned job. The 'trunk" is kinda cool.

That first one looks like a 1953-54ish Pontiac and never seen a boat trailer built that way.

I've seen on Velocity TV they are wrapped not chromed. That Jason Beeber kid had a Ferrari done up like that when he was busted for speeding in FLA.

Pic #5 looks like a TR4 or TR 250 by the little bit of headlight you can see.It might be a pre 72 TR6 like mine. I don't think it's a Triumph Stag. I think they were a small block V-8. I drove one in Cape Cod mid 70's. I almost married the girl that owned it until she found out every penny I had, plus some was tied up in my new TR6.. She was slumming in P Town as she called it, her parents had a place next door to the Kennedy's shack.

Thanks for the pics, now I need to buy a Loto Max ticket for tomorrow night. It might not cover all of them.

The flesh coloured boat looks similar to a guy's I met that has a similar basket case, no I.D. on it anywhere. I suggested posting it here for him to hopefully ID it. I told him by the time he sourced what little replacement parts and brought it to concours condition he would be better off finding one at an auction and bidding on it. He would need 99% done by someone for him. He told us his budget is $5,000.00 and figured we could do it for that.

I think the trailer is for display similar to a few I've seen at the Toronto Boat show. Some have hydraulics to tip sideways for a better view. Each boat had a security guard and thankfully the guys weren't wearing bikini's. .

Looking closer pic#5 may be a Stag, solid rear window. The Stag I drove definitely had a small block V8. I had never seen a V8 in a British Leyland car.

You may not have seen a British Leyland V8 car, but there were plenty. Some Rover, Triumph and MG models had V8s, all under BL ownership.

The Triumph photo above is a TR4 with optional hardtop featuring a removable "Targa" or "Surrey" roof panel. Stags had a soft targa roof with built-in roll bar, quad headlights, more curves than a flat-sided TR4 and a Spitfire-looking rear, along with a Triumph designed and built V8.

Some Rover models and the MG MGB GT V8 used a B-L'ized Buick 215 CI aluminum V8. TR8's, used the a variant of the Buick-based V8.

Got any more pics, Sam. Love 'em!

You're right. The Stag had a V-8. Don't quote me but I think it was an aluminum engine they sourced from Rover, which bought the original tooling from Buick (215 cu. in). Buick used it in the very early-60's Special/Skylark.

It's definitely pre-TR6. I can tell by the front sidelight. Hard to tell for sure, but it looks to me like the straight 6, although the 4-cyl in the TR-4 also had a chromed valve cover (I owned one). I'm guessing it's a TR-250 (TR-5 in Britain).
