Just out of curiosity I went back to PB to see if I could log in (I had told them to delete my account because I did not agree with their policy). For a couple months I still got emails from them and my pics were still there. I repeated my disdain for their policies. Well, they must have listened because I cannot log in now and I am glad for that.

I didn't have that many pics on PB and my threads that I deemed worthy of saving were fixed after the debacle.

Most the emails after the money grab were to buy stuff - Like toilet seats and military grade flashlights. :doh:

From the "for what it's worth" department: the Ideabook portion of iBoats will actually work like a photo hosting service. If you wanted to hotlink from the idea book into your topic, it should work about the same way as Photobucket. I added a portion to the photo tutorial on that.

Photobucket's new CEO is gonna' have to stew up some serious dance moves to make things groove again. I think they're a one trick pony and no one's really interested in the trick any more.

The damage has been done and I don't see people that were burned going back to PB...

I always uploaded my images to iBoats when I was posting a pic here. But man, it is/was annoying looking at posts on forums with PB blocked images. Just viewing blocked images in forums was a 100% negative reflection of their business.
