Congrats to the Phil’s, Was a great NLCS. Every game was competitive. The Padres were no slouches.

I hope that’s the way it turns out. I think the deciding factor of the series very well could come down to the bullpens. Phillies bullpen is a bit lacking, where Houston has arguably the best in the American League. Go Phil’s. Wish I still had my season tickets 🙄

Phillies take game 1 in 10 innings. Down 5-0 after 3 innings, Phillies score 3 in the 4th and 2 more in the 5th to tie the game. It takes till the 10th till another run is plated. Great game 1!

Great game. Phillies we’re pretty much the Phillies. Somebody always comes up clutch in these big games. I don’t think there is a more entertaining team in sports right now. Go Phils!

Smolts was a great pitcher, but I could do without him doing the game.

Harper saw something in McCullers and made sure the rest of the team knew … when I saw Harper talking to others I immediately told my wife to watch what was going to happen … was surprised Houston kept McC in the game as long as they did …

Yes big mistake keeping him in. Heard Pedro Martinez on the radio this morning and he explained the tell the Phillies picked up on. Ironic isn’t it, only thing is the Phil’s didn’t cheat.

Good game last night, but Phillies left too many men on base. Houston takes a 3-2 series lead as they return home to Houston.

Hoskins had a poor game at the plate and in the field. He is really streaky at the plate. He gets in the mode of home run or strike out. That is where he is now. His play in the field has been subpar for a major league player and has been as long as he’s been a Philly. Not blaming the loss on him, the whole team has been flat last two games.

Well it’s all over now. Hats off to the Astros I suppose. I question why Valdez was sweating profusely on the mound but that’s a story for another day. Phil’s had an awesome season. They have a few issues in the lineup to clean up and need to pick up another solid starter. Will be some goods ones available for free agency this winter.

Well, the Astros will always be labeled as cheaters. They have to live with that. They also have to live with people making ridiculous claims about them cheating now......seriously, the Phillies lost because Valdez was sweating profusely on the mound? And the Yanks lost because the roof was open....
Maybe, just maybe Houston won because they were the best team in MLB in 2022.....and there is no asterisk (*) to taint this one....Lol

Whoa hold on. No one said the Phillies lost because of Valdez sweating. Phillies lost because they got beat.

I still question why Valdez was sweating like a pig.

Maybe Valdez was sweating because he was hot....and under tremendous pressure.....it was the World Series after all. Last I checked, sweating isn't against the rules....and neither is spitting or adjusting your crotch on national TV! Lol

Wow, Topgun, you took that way out of perspective. I was rooting for the Phils, but am not a fan of them. I noticed Valdez’ profuse sweating and also wondered what was up, but it had nothing to do with cheating … was he sick? Was he letting the pressure get to him? Is he as cold blooded as I am and sweats easily (but rarely saw him sweat like that any other time)? It was curious. No conspiracy theory, just curious.
