I can't wait 1 and 1/2 days till no students is my mantra at this point. They don't come back till the 6th and even though I got to do the Thursday and Friday before I still count my blessings. I plan on fishing some weather permitting (lots of rain here these days) but if not some of you may get tired of me hanging around here with a bad case of cabin fever.
BTW spelling was never my strong suit.

One more day and the students leave at 11:00. What makes it even better is some of the ladies on the hallway had gotten together secretly and now we are looking at dinner tomorrow about 12:00. Catfish stew, sausage and red rice, summer sausage and cheeses for an appetizer as well as so many other things that were mentioned I can't believe they did it w/o all of the men(about 5 of us) getting wind of it and several of the women (those that can't cook worth a spit). It is not for everyone in the school just those of us on the 600 wing and a few special guests. I knew one day helping everyone get things moved around for a new year and helping with unruly students as well as any other things would pay off. Gonna get the good eats tomorrow while the rest of the school grades exams. Life is good.

My students go all the way until Friday. Just keeping them busy is the key. Yeah--there are only 4 males on staff and a lot of women. Us guys do tend to get away with a lot sometimes :D Sounds like a great meal PFB. We have our annual party on Friday night--lots of food and drinks for everyone!!! Life is great being a teacher!!

Sorry to change subjects here but I have to ask.

Peterfishbuster, what is catfish stew? Besides catfish, how do you make it? I might have to give it a try.

Potatoes and some other stuff my mom makes a killer one and I will get her recipe and post it here so everyone can try it. It works as well for other fish as it does catfish but around here folks make it and eat it in quantities measured in gallons.
