Pertronix ignition conversion on a 470

Has anyone recently completed this conversion? I remember reading a post (here or on some other website) regarding this, but I can't find it again.

There was some debate over the ballast wire with the Flamethrower coil. Wish I could find it again.

Anyway expert opinions out there?

I just got the hot spark. I havent installed it yet but I dont intend to keep the resister.

Does that help- prob not

Tried that some years ago, Pertronix + Flamethrower coil. Never could get it to work right, went back to points, kept the Flamethrower (love it). Wired it in same as the stock coil. Be careful with that Flamethrower, one false move and it WILL kick your butt.
