Is there anything one can do about it. Any authorities that can get to the source of them?
This is a wierd deal. I have an uncle in law, in La Paz Mexico, who has been getting a string of emails, purportedly from either myself or my married daughter, from, what looks like, otherwise legitimate .AU email addresses.
They always include a link to look at picture/s with a statement such as;
Richard, I was on vacation in Spain!
Just check out my holiday pictures:
http://xxxxx xxxxxxx xxxxxx.com
In the 5th picture I?m xxxxxx with bunch of locals! Just looks like fun, doesn?t it?
Take care,
signed (my daughters name)
We don't know who else might be getting these emails as Uncle R is the only one who has reported them to us. It would be nice if they could be stopped as they are using our accurate names.
It is obvious that they have gotten all the names out of one of our address books. No need to suggest that we stay away from any nasty sites as I doubt that that occurs with any of us victims.
