I've experienced a significant performance hit At WOT with a cavitation ring on my 23p Trophy Plus prop. My motor is a 2003 Yamaha 200HP VMax. I need the ring because my rpms approach 5,000 in hole shot.<br /><br />Without the cavitation ring on the prop, I get 61.2 mph @ 5,400 rpms WOT. With the cavitation ring on the prop, I only get 55 mph @ 5,100 rpms WOT.<br /><br />Everyone else I've talked to has said that they do not know of anyone that has suffered a performance hit at WOT with a cavitation ring. If anyone can explain this, I'm all ears.
