Ok,I have been in Arizona for the last 28 years.I grew up in Pennsylvania,Juniata River area, where they had all the Musky tournaments way back then.Jacks Creek ran into the river there. Is it still as good a smallmouth fishery as it used to be?And Muskies,or have they moved?I never had a boat back then, can you launch a deep v-17 boat and run the river,or shore fishing only?Any info would be great.

It looks like it empties into the Susky, which is my favorite river, but I fish the NY sections. Muskie, walleyes, and smallies! You might want to read-up on it over at RiverSmallies.com Jet drives seems to be what I hear about for the Susky down that way.

I live right along the west branch of the susquehanna, near Lewisburg. The smallmouth fishing is second to none, particularly below the fabridam (near sunbury), the walleye and muskie fishing are also top notch. Also, some flathead catfish are being caught in southern Pa on the Susky, probably imported from the midwest. Fortunately, we don't have them this far north yet. From what I understand they are getting near the 50lb mark.

Also, you'll want a flat bottom boat if you want to fish in the summer... there's some pretty shallow stretches, mixed up with deeper stuff and lots of rocky ledges and boulders just under the surface.
