Hi there,
I have a 1984 9.9 Mariner which I am told is a Yamaha in disguise... Very ugly, looks like it fell off a boat while going down the highway, but runs beautifully! Several questions. 1. does this unit have a thermostat? 2) Where does the water exit the engine when the thermostat is open? 3) how long should I wait for the thermostat to open before damage to the engine is immanent or occurring? 4) The engine has two wires protruding from it, would this be a charging circuit or a hook up for a kill lanyard? Thanks a bunch!
