Got a question for everyone i have asked in the mariner section to no avail. Yesterday we was out on the lake tubing and swimming (it was 105 here and my face is bright red to prove it) while we were tubing heard someone yelling for help. Looked around and saw a couple jet skis floating a little ways away with someone yelling and waving.

Drove over and a guy and his two sons had flipped both seadoos and one was almost all the way under and they was hanging on a tube. They all climbed in and I hooked both jet skis up to the toon and slowly started to the dock while I went to make sure they was secured noticed my pee stream was dribbling out. So after getting the guys to the dock we drove slowly to by where we docked and let the kids swim for a couple hours. When we started to leave the pee stream was strong so we putted around and it keep getting less and less until dribbling again. When in gear it will spit out more but not strong like when it first starts up but I can also see some water come out the exhaust. No alarm has sounded but I'm not sure if this is normal. I have a 95 90 hp mariner 2 stroke.

I appreciate any help

Re: Pee stream

It could be an impeller or you could have wrapped or sucked something over the water intake and when you sat idle it fell off?

Yea I have no idea how old the impeller is so I guess ill be heading over to the local marine to pick one up. Yea it would drop off when idling. It was very strong at first start up but then just drops off not all at once but eventually. Does this motor have a thermostat? And is it very hard to change an impeller? I've never done it and would like to save time and money to do it myself.

"You tube" it there's tons of video's. Here a good one for a 90hp mercury, I'm sure yours is very similar. If you know your way around the garage this should be a piece of cake for you.

Go to your local parts departement. Tell them what engine. They can look up the part #.

If the shop can't cross ref serial number to model number, maybe the manufacturer can. Might be worth a quick phone call.
