I received a memo that states, if i miss a clock in or out for lunch i will be docked one hour, If i don't tell the powers that be by the end of the day. We use quickbooks for the time clock, and i know it says when your in or out. Some times you just clock in / out so fast you don't notice where your at. I have done some research but can't find the answer to this ?. Is it legal for this to happen. We are a small work force and everyone knows who's their and when. I work in Wisconsin. Any thoughts, and i will be calling the NLRB.

Re: Pay docking

We use hand scanners and half the time they do not work. My wifes company, a large corp, went with them for a short time and after a month pulled then all out. Huge exspense on the company budget.

As it were at one time I was called in to HR for missed punches and was given a write-up and put on a 6 month probationary period. 1st time in 6 years that I'd ever been givin a disaplainary action. But what can one to do? Can't fight HR. Hell this company still does not offer direct deposit to employees because there are to many undocumented workers that do not have bank accounts!!!!!
