I bought a new to me 25' cruiser. It came fully equipped with dated electronics, most of which i plan to upgrade very soon. However the Radar is a SL70, and due to my limited use I do not want to replace if not needed. .
The unit seems to function as it should. It has no errors, it does its circle "sweep". However it just reports a "grainy" display. (Dark rings)
I have read what I can, performed the self test with nothing of note reported, all passes. Performed a factory reset. Same results.
I have checked all connections, nothing loose, nothing corroded. I pulled the cover off the dome, it is clean, the unit is spinning as I assume it should.
Is there anything else I should be checking before ripping the unit off the boat?
