Re: Patching

Looks like you need a rubber vulcanizing patch kit, maybe from Boater's World or similar place. The tubes look pretty old and beat up...don't think I'd tackle the Colorado River with that! Good Luck!

Re: Patching

Yeah, that looks pretty rough. Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like the tear is extending out from under one of the patches. You can patch it just like any other repair, use Hypalon materials and glue. It's an Avon right? I would probably remove the entire section of cone fabric and replace it, if you want to do it right.

All the parts you need are here>>> www.nrsweb.com

Hypalon fabric
solvent
glue
rasp and roller
2 piece end cone

One of the trickier repairs to attempt.

Re: Patching

Yes it is Avon Searider 5.4m and I think it has about 20 years :)

I thought about changing cone end as well, but I am not sure if it might be done by someone like me without expirience. You see it is my first boat

I would like to ask you if it might be too difficult for me, are they any tips&tricks or any points where I have to look out... anything

Probably it is too much but maybe someone would be able to give me step by step instraction how to switch end cone in my RIB?

Thank you very much,
zubol
