Parts verification please

I ordered the remote conversion kit for my 2011 tohatsu 9.8A3 tiller model. I received the rc5 remote part number 3b7q843503, and the hardware kit 369838802m.
I am concerned about the hardware kit, the parts do not seem to correspond with anything in my genuine tohatsu manual for my engine. Also the part number I believe it should be is SRC3V1838800M. I will be contacting Tohatsu in the morning but was hoping someone could shed some light on this for me. the Src kit i received seems to correspond to a 2003 or 2004 tohatsu 9.8 model. Am i missing something here or is there something specific to my engine that would require this older src kit.

The RC box is correct for an electric start 9.8A3. The correct SRC kit is 3V2838801M. The kit you got is for a 5B. Either you ordered the wrong part, or you need a better dealer (such as me )

It takes a 3V2838801M hardware kit. Av ailable here: http://www.internetoutboards.com/partdetail.asp?id=429 The one you ordered was for a 5 hp 2 stroke.

Thanks for confirming this for me, I gave the dealer my information and he passed it on to Tohatsu. Not sure how they sent the proper remote and wrong src kit. Engine information Listed on invoice correctly. Oh well im sure they will take care of it and get the right one out to me. Just wanted confirmation before I called Tohatsu America.

Tohatsu couldn't have made that kind of mistake. The dealer would have provided the part number to them. So, the dealer is the one you need to take it up with.
