earlier this year i bought a boat that was told had been setting awhile with a 115hp mercury its an 1983 inline 6 and so I just dumped some seafoam and in the tank and lubed up the cylinders and sprayed some carb cleaner in the carbs and took it to the lake to see if i could get it to run, turned the key and she stared with ease. so I i put a prob on it and played around all summer but since winter has came ive torn in to it. I was getting some hesitation at first so i replaced the fuel pump, the lines and the primer ball which helped at high speeds but thers not very much low end torque which is probally due to the prop. the smallest one i had in the shop was a 14 x 22 or 23 pitch maybe and since i could only get about 4900 to 5k rpm out of it im thinking about goin to 13 1/4 by 21 pitch in the summer. Since the motor has set for at least 2 years im rebuilding the carbs. They looked surprising in well conditions which was making me doubt myself. after soaking them and getting everything loosened up i tried to take the main fuel nozzle out of carb one and it was in there very well.... and i cant find anywhere to get a new nozzle.... The carbs are WMK 28's and the only thing i can find on them are basic rebuild kits and floats. Any ideas? or can i just use this one? will it hurt the flow?
