To the NW of us, in the Coral Sea, is a country called Solomons. One of their towns is Honiara.
The news in Honiara is: the local Pan Flute Bands have become very popular, and very very good, but instead of using the traditional bamboo to make their intruments, they are stealing PVC pipe from the country's water supply system, and it has go so bad, the missing pipes are threatening the supply of water.
Being a not to wealthy country, they are finding it expensive/difficult to buy replacement pipes.
The local recording studio says the PVC pipe Pan Flutes are better than bamboo. Have a superior tone and don't go out of tune.
The Govt have appealed to the local lads to stop stealing their water pipes.!!!!!
Cheers
Phillip

As a foot note, this area of the world has Guadalcanal, and in WW2 your country lost a lot of men there, so by mentioning that and knowing your history you will have some idea of where Honiara is. I am being serious here, not smart, so please don't be offended. Can't use Graemlins.
cheers
Phillip
