Not sure but i think its original merc paint but anybody know a stripper that works? I tried the aircraft stripper, citrus stripper and a special stripper for anti fouling paint and none worked.

I’m no expert but I think the factory may have used a powdercoating process that is baked on. If that’s the case then the best way to remove it is by blasting, preferably soda or walnut shells.

On the bravo 3 outdrive, the only thing i have seen work so far is blasting. I would really like to strip it then quickly run the blaster over it. Blasting the whole thing its very hard to keep media out of it.

I read somewhere a long time ago that if you can't get the paint off the original item then why do you even need to remove it? Just paint over it. In other words, two of the most important factors to paint are adhesion and sealing. Mercruiser did those two things about as well as they're going to get done when they manufactured the part. IMO, use what they gave you to your advantage.
