Paint over anti foul paint?

I kmow you guys might not be able to answer but its worth a shot. I blasted, etched, alodined, zinc chromated primes and painted my outdrive with west marine anti foul paint. Ok now for $44 a spray can i am not real happy with it. Seems to be not really durable and it says black but its a flat gray. My question is and i do not keep it in the wayer but think i can paint over that paimt with gloss black rustolem really to just pretty it up?

anti-foul paint is most likely ablative.

you could try to paint over it, however if the AF is ablative, the paint will just come off.

I guess i will leave it. Maybe see what one holds up better cause i did the gimbal housing and ring in rustoleum and transom assy and outdrive in the anti foul. Experiment i guess and see what holds up better
