Hi Ken...

Thank you for answering my question about the sea rayder I bought for my son, I also have another boat ( Inboard with Prop )and I keep them docked on the lake, my problem is that to get to the (Big lake) I have to go through a short section that has some almost floating weeds, well I took his boat out today and when going into the canal I sucked up weeds ( was fine from the boat ramp and in the big Lake ) After towing it back to the boat ramp a man at the boat ramp told me his buddy has something under his intake that almost stops that problem... Do you know what that might be ??

Thanks in advance..
And BTW, you are right that thing is a blast, until it stopped from the weeds!

Re: Paging Sea Rayder Ken

Pump powered boats are great big vacuum cleaners. They do not work well in waters that have weeds, shallow gravel patches, old fishing lines or anything else that can be sucked up.
Anything that is put in front of the pump intake to keep out this junk is going to restict water flow and, therefore, thrust.
And, remember, the pump supplies cooling water to the motor so debris can pass thru the pump and get into the cooling jacket.
Make sure that everyone who operates this boat knows that they may have to walk home if any undigestible thing that is sucked into the pump.
Charlie
