Re: Paging Jimd

Yes I have a high speed connection at work. Alas, I have already replaced that gasket just prior to the beginning of our posts on this subject. Yours seems to be a little worse than mine with the big hole and all and in fact may (I hope it does) correct your situation. My gasket was leaking a little exhaust oil down the leg and when I removed it, it was coming apart in multiple places but not as localized as yours. I thought it would fix it but it didn't. The odd thing is that virtually every thing I have looked at has needed repair and yet once repaired the engine still overheats at WOT (although not since I retarded the ignition). Somebody recently mentioned the condition of the stainless steel impeller housing and I am going to get to that as soon as my daughter goes back to school. Since the engine is running now I am waiting to take it apart again. I hope this fixes yours now I'll just have to see with mine. I am actually hoping to find a problem with the impeller housing though I haven't checked the price which may be high. Thanks for the info Todd, I'll keep you posted.
