i have a new to me 2001 saltwater series 2 250 motor. I took it out for the first time, and it ran fine for about 5minutes or so then it just dies off and shuts off. This is happening on plane at about 4500 rpm, it doesn’t do it around1700 rpm tho. Once I throttle about 1700 it vibrates a lot then goes good and dies few minutes later. Then it takes a couple try’s to restart but it does and it repeats.
things I have replaced before I used the motor:
new lp pumps
new filters in vst, fuel cup and water separator
new fuel lines all around
new spark plugs
compression is around 105 across all cylinders, and the fuel is premium with stable in it.
