Overrev Limiter

Have a Honda, 15 HP, BF15 outboard. Operator manual stses there is an overrev limiter. Where is it located and how does it work?

The overrev limiter in my BF50A causes the motor to "miss" lightly. The best way to describe it is that it runs rough. Backing the throttle down to maximum RPM causes the engine to run smooth again.

I don't know where it is located. I would guess that it is a setting in the electronics.
