Overheating

1973 Fiberform 225HP OMC boat is overheating was told that it was probly a Impeller issue and asked what series a 400 or 800 cant seem to find that anywhere on the boat. does anyone know where to look or what impeller kit I would need?

Need more info like what motor and what year?

It's not either one. The 400-800 designations started after 1978-79. You have an electric shift stringer drive. (I have a 1976 175hp) Sierra has impellers for our drives, available through a lot of marine suppliers or at NAPA auto parts stores.

I have a 1973 225hp OMC and yours likely needs an impeller and Sierra should have what you need
