Overheated but seems fine ?

Last year my water pump stopped working and my 3.0 alpha 1 overheated. i ran it for about 15 min total before shutting it down. At the time, it made a few ping sounds but thats it. it sounds fine now that its fixed, no leaks or problems noticed. Is there anything I should be worried about ?

Keep your eye on your oil dipstick for signs of water...you may have 'dodged' the bullet!
