overheat warning dt75

I have a 1986 Suzuki dt75 and the overheat alarm goes off if I rum the motor over 2/3 throttle. If I only run 1/2 throttle it never goes off.
Could it be the waterflow switch? and where is that switch located? I know where the overheat switch is but am not sure about the waterflow switch. I changed my thermostat, and cleaned and tuned my carb. Is there a way to test these swtches?

It is best to just replace it, they are cheap, the waterflow sensor are on the head .....
