hello i have a 2006 johnson 115hp 2 stroke outboard on a stratus 275 pro xl everything has been working fine until today when i got stuck in some mud the motor overheat alarm started going off, i imidiatly shut it off and used the troling motor to get into deeper cleaner water ( fresh water use only) after about a half hour i turned on the motor and it was peeing good so i took off and again the alarm sounded. could the alarm be malfunctioning? motor is peeing fine and has warm water but when alarm is sounding motor will not rev over 3000rpm
