over heating suzuki

I have a Suzuki DT25 1989 that is overheating.<br />We have changed the impeller and a seal and the problem is still there..only idle will not over heat. So where do we look now?

Have you checked the thermostat, a faulty one can cause this and they are cheap to replace ...

I had the same problem if is not the thermostat i think you have to remove the engine to clean the water passages which are beneath the engine, that's what i had to do to solve the problem.

Well we replaced the thermostat and the problem is still there but we know now we have zero compression on the 1st cylinder,, a trinkle of water in idle and no water pumping as we idle up. blown headgasket?

it was a blown headgasket runs good and quite now,
