I am a newbie and have a boat with outriggers.
It does not yet have the rigging. If I am not mistaken, the general purpose for these poles is to keep the bait spread apart and to avoid any entanglements.
How does the rigging work ? Any web-sites that I could go to find out ?

Get a Boat U.S., West Marine Catalog. or Boaters World Catalog. All are pretty informative. I work for none of them by the way.

Re: outriggers ????

Basically the outriggers end has a pully on it and you run a loop of rope from the boat through the pully and you put a clip on it. You clip your line to the clip and pull the rope through the pully so that it takes the line thus lure out the distance of the pole from the boat. Now instead of pulling the lure from the rod tip it is say 15' or more out from the boat which puts your lure tracking from that point the same distance from the boat's path. I am sure others here can tell you more but that is the basics.
