Outlook e-mail

I had a live.com account. Then they switched it to outlook.com. seven days ago outlook asked me to enter a verification code. It would send a text Mg, or call me, well it never sent either one. I have tried once a day for seven days, now i can't get back into the account. I talked to my cable provider and they did a remote, He look at the page i was getting and said that he had to do the same thing but he got the code. I called Microsoft for help and got nothing. Could anyone help me on this.:facepalm:

I had hotmail and when they did the switch, I didn't have to punch in any code.

When I logged into outlook I used the same User/password I had with hotmail.
