Outer Banks NC

Hey guys. We're going to be heading down to the Outer Banks this summer. We'll be staying in Avon. Anything down there that is a "must see"? We've never been there and I want to make sure we don't miss any highlights.

You can drive on the beach down there if you like.
Cape Hatteras Light House is a good visit.
Ocracoke is a cool place
There is the graveyard of the atlantic museum

Are you planning on boating? I would not reccomend it if you have not been out there before. The coast of NC suc&s. Sand bars move on a daily basis and channel markers do not keep up.

Thanks agallant. We'll see if we can hit some of the spots you mentioned. We aren't taking the boat. Never had one out in the ocean and don't plan on it anytime soon. I'm more of a river rat. LOL. I appreciate the info.
