I have an older (70's) OMC outdrive. I replaced the tilt motor and both solenoids. The outdrive would only raise up to half way at first, I lowered it again and now will not raise at all. The motor is working fine. It seems to be jammed in a down position. Is there any way to free this up?<br />Thanks in advance

Check your hydraulic fluid level.

Is the motor spinning away and nothing is happening? If so you have likely broken your hammer blow coupler. If the motor just kind of gives up then you may be looking at a clutch pack replacement. Change the oil in your tilt unit and if it is water contaminated you might try loosening the unit cover bolts a litle and then give a tap with a soft hammer. The clutch disks are swollen and not working as they should.
