Outdrive sealant

I have taken the motor and bracket out of the boat to do some work on the transom. What is the correct sealant to use to put the motor bracket back on the boat transom. It is a mercruiser 140

Ayuh,... A fresh copy of the original gasket or oring is Best....
No sealant required...
