Were repowereing our boat with a new 383 stroker with bravo 1 drive. The ol engine was a 1986 5.7 liter 260 hp mercruiser oh and both engines are mercruisers. My question is will the prop from the old Alpha One drive fit the Bravo One drive. Thanks Dan

Re: Outdrive Question

Yeah it will fit, but I can promise that if the old prop was correct for the 5.7, it's gonna be way too small pitch wise for the new engine.

Re: Outdrive Question

Find out what your WOT (Wide Open Throttle) RPM's are, then adjust from there.

Also, moving this post to the Prop Questions and Topics forum

Re: Outdrive Question

It "may" fit, but some of the bravo series ran/run best with the largest diameter in a given pitch, depending on the prop design.
You may also find the same prop may be very close...going from a 260HP, 350CI to a 383CI of "X"hp may not be as big of a gain as you may think. In that size class, it requires about 18-20HP to gain 1mph.

Re: Outdrive Question

The new engine will have 325 hp at the prop shaft.
