I have a small issue regarding my outdrive. Part number 35 on my outdrive (Volvo 270) the threading on the inside that starts the part screwing on to the spline has come undone. Am I going to have to buy a new one, or is there a way to salvage the old one? Let me know if you need more explanation.

Re: Outdrive help

you could possibly recore with helixcore, or maybe a machine shop would be able to help. Just a reminder, if you plan on keeping it, fix it right, i.e. flop out the wallet. This will usually insure you don't cost more in other problems you incurr. I would hate for a coulple hundred dollar prop to fly off when your in BFE. Good luck, let us in on what you decide.
