hello here 1987 350 searay alpha one outdrive I just have the boat and I drain the outdrive oil, looks black, is that a good thing?.

Black usually indicates burnt. Burnt oil is usually a sign that the propeller is too big (too high pitch) and overloading the engine and drive... What revs are you making at WOT?

Also, when refilling the drive, use Mercury/Quicksilver 'High performance gear lube'

hi achris I just bought this boat the last time was registered was 2009, the propeller that came with the boat I wont be using it, I will get another propeller.
