Outboard Selection

I am planing on buying a new 90 hourse power two or four stroke engine and I was wondering what the best overall engine for a 18' flats boat I am going to be custom building.<br /><br />I dont know whether to buy a Yamaha, Johnson, Evinrude, Or a Mercury. Any suggestions would be great.

With a question like that, you will get 15 different answers. All motors are good motors as long as the owner takes good care of them with regular scheduled service. Make your decision on what you have local to your area as far as service and parts availability. Those are the main two concerns.<br /><br />
