Im in the process of converting my 23 Larson to outboard power.Im wondering how to determine the shaft length that Ill need.I have little experience with big hp outboards.If it is derermined by the height of the transom,Ill have to get the measurement later.Its a deep-v hull design.I have the engine,outdrive and all if anyones interested.email scumonthedrums@hotmail.com ...<br />Short block new in 97 .maybe 50hrs.Quit and wasnt repaired.Sat with water in bilge,now has water in oil.Was not run though.Outdrive casing has been patched up with some kinda weld,but otherwise worked fine.Has new marine distributor,fuel pump,and starter.<br />Thanks in advance for any information.
