Outboard height

I lifted my outboard today and it seems to be running smooth and turning on a dime for a pontoon. Video attached. Please check it out to see if this is the way it should look

from my limited experience plus what I've read on this site.....that looks perfect to me...vent plate is riding at top of water...

I think so. Now my rps are at 5200 at wot instead of 5800 all the time. So Now it time to look for a new prop to gain some rps to get in the wot range for this outboard.

It sounds like you're there now to me. This is getting into those 'druthers/compromises though. Where you are at now is easy on the motor, should get pretty good mileage (as well as can be expected anyway). BUT if you reguire best available for max towing performance, you'll be looking for something closer to 6k for a top end.
