Guys,

There are 3 grease fittings on my 2000 Johnson 130HP outboard ... 2 on the pivot for tilt/trim and one on the pivot for steering. What kind of grease should I use here? Also, are there any other points I should grease such as the steering arm, etc? Any other grease fittings I might be missing? Thanks in advance.

Re: Outboard Grease Fittings

there was a post just like this the other day, my choice of grease is OMC triple guard (the blue stuff) as it does not go hard in water and seize up, it also sticks to anything, so apply to anything that moves or you do not want to corrode is my motto

Tripple Guard means water, heat and vibration resistant. I found it to be the best too.

I may be wrong....but I use the same grease that I use to fill my bearing buddies
