I have a 1991 Johnson 140 looper that overheats at high rpm. I have installed a new water pump, new thermostats and it still overheats. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. It has been run in salt water
Begin at the water pump and work your way up. sounds like your not getting enough water flow(too much water pressure moves the water through to fast which could cause your over heating at your higher rpms. could be stuck closed poppet
