Hi.
I have tried to fix this for a long time.
75 hp ELPTO trim tilt with single ram 3-wire connection

symptoms:
it goes down easily but it needs manual help the first 10-20 cm to go up - then it's doing better - but slow.
It has no problem to hold it's position except for slight loss when going long distance in high speed > 15 knots.
Slightly lower tone on the tilt engine when taking it up.

Actions already taken:
Added Quicksilver tilt fluid and have lifted the engine manually up and down 5 times to releas air with manual release valve out.
Disassambled tilt engine and added lubrication on both ends to electric engine (this helped a little and the engine runs at a higher speed)
Electricity checked (good battery, solenoids working)

:welcome: to iBoats...

Have you checked the bypass valves in the piston?

As there is more than one model with the single ram system, could we have a serial number please...

my first guess would be that the oil seal in top of reservoir has worked loose and you have oil in the field windings. But that's only because I assume you have checked the ring terminals and solenoids and they are all clean and shiny.
