Outboard acting like it’s not getting enough fuel. Carbs rebuilt

Hello,
I’m kinda stumped on this one. The motor is a 1988 Yamaha V4 130hp outboard. I let the boat sit for a year due to having kids. It has always ran excellent for me. Couldn’t get it started at the beginning of the season. Pulled carbs and cleaned in ultrasonic cleaner. Rebuilt carbs with rebuild kit. Motor starts and idles and revs up fine in the water but when you put it in gear it acts like it’s starving for fuel. If I hit the electric choke switch quick it will run good for a second and then go back to idling bad. If I give it throttle past a point it will get up and run on plane for a second but then die down like it’s starving and I hit the choke and it picks back up for a few seconds until it dies down again and repeat... I performed the timing and sync procedure in the manual. I just double checked it again and it is correct. I also adjusted carb pickup. I can say when I pulled the silencer a few minutes ago to pull carbs....again...there was oil in carb throats and in bottom of engine shroud. It seems like it will idle fine and rev up fine but the minute I put it in gear it can’t handle it. I’m going to check float drop tomorrow but needles are moving correctly. There is also a brand new mechanical fuel pump I installed there as of this year. I thought maybe that was the issue so I disconnected, purchased an in-line electric pump and still the same issue. I don’t know where to go next.

I have spark on all wires. The one thing I should note is I don’t think any of the coils will jump a 7/16 gap. I will recheck this when I get home. I did order a dva adapter for peak voltage for my meter. I can Try and test ignition components to verify they are all performing correctly.

But the fact that it will get on plane and run wot for a little
bit before starting to die leads me to believe it has nothing to do with ignition components. Especially since if I hit the choke quick it goes right back to running good for a few more seconds. Almost seems like a bowl isn’t filling enough and choking it lets the bowl fill for a second and then it uses that fuel and then has the issue again until I choke it.
