Dewinterized the boat today, and she sprung a leak in one of the hydraulic cylinders...But the fluid was pink not red...:(....To me that is a water intrusion issue..Now is it possible that the hydraulic system is somehow connected to the water cooling system......How does it turn pink..

Trimming the drive up and down when in the water will do it. it's not hooked to the cooling system in any way.
Was it ok when you winterized?

The trim/tilt system is all by it's self. Nothing to do with the power steering or anything else. If it got water in it (and that is what make the oil milky and pink) then it either got into the system through the cylinders, the hoses, connections, or the reservoir was under water or water was dripping in it.

Wasnt under water...Must have happened last summer. Just had a clarevoynt thought check the power steering fluid and shes good...power trim pump empty or close..Now who says it doesnt pay to buy a warranty... Volvo 2+4 coming to the rescue...Paid 900...about 50 dollars in seals....:D..The adventure continues...;)

Thanks again Don...Hmm im not missing anything here seal failure water intrusion....that cyclinder has been wet for 6 months..but under pressure with fluid...Rust perhaps..
