I just learned today from a sierra employee. That Osco sold the molds and possibly the plant to sierra to manufacture the risers and manifolds... very interesting to me I always liked Osco stuff not sure why it didn't work out for them.

I read somewhere that Osco was no longer, but did not hear about the sale to Sierra.

Barr has been a good option to OEM as well.

I agree I also use BAR but I'm disappointed my last manifold didn't come with studs from them... I agree quality is there. But ya Osco apparently sold molds to sierra.

I work in the steel field so I'm curious to know if the cast is of the same make up or how that works.. I know in the field I work our molds will only work with our specific steel compound..

Steel guy, as in steel mill, as well.

Why cant you use different alloys with your molds?

Unless it’s a cooling issue, you have me scratching my head.

agreed, copes and risers may need to change with a process, however the molds should be usable.

my guess is they are selling off the older molds as the volume dropped. Osco does have 3 plants. could not find any information on them closing.
