Maybe Monday I will call the radio station and see if they know. The reason I am curious because the primary announcer was a dead ringer for Vin Scully
I listened for quite a while, with only the barest suspicion that it might not be him. Then I heard his sidekick refer to him as Mike. His whole vocal pattern, word inflection and announcing style was uncannily Vin Scully.
For those of you who may not know about Vin Scully, he is widely regarded as one of the very best baseball announcers of all times. He is the longest standing announcer for a single ball team, in history. He started back in the late fifties, with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He still announces for them today. He also did a stint in football. Don't know if he still does.
