I have a 1989 baja 280 and have a loose pink and orange wire dangling in the cuddy where the fridge usually is, but no longer there. Also has no horns. Would this be one of those?

connect a voltmeter to the wire and honk the horn and let us know what happens.

Like holding the dvm leads to a fuse and reading 56k ohms?

Um, that's your resistance

Oh yeah, through one arm, chest, and your other arm

Pink is fuel sender
Orange is alternator or post circuit breaker battery feed

You sure it's not purple? Then it would be wiper leads. Purple for power, orange for park, and a black wire

The boat is missing the horns.. would that be test light to ground? Not much of a electrical guru.

Wire certainly has 2 ends to it.
Look under the dash to see if same colored wire is connected to a switch / piece of equipment or breaker. Then read what the breaker/switch is for. Problem solved.
