Mercury has had a fairly reliable reputation with this motor and have had some updates issued since thier introduction. The DFI engines are much better on fuel economy, emmissions, and throttle response than the carberated engines. They also compare favourably to thier four-stroke cousins except they produce the awsome hole shot that the two-stroke can deliver. Good choice with excellent power.No specific problems with twin applications.
