Just had my new 2012 Ultracraft 16-1/2 foot aluminum boat out for the first time. It has a 75 hp etec which I thought would really move this boat. However, I'm only seeing top speed of 31 mph with a 15 pitch prop. At wide open throttle, I only get 4200 RPMs. I read that the optimum range is 4500-5500. When I remove the engine cover and inspect the throttle linkage, I don't see an adjustment but I do notice that the butterfly is not wide open at full throttle. Is this a linkage problem or does the engine need to be "re-programmed" by the dealer?
