Well by hook or crook, I ended up pretty much inheriting a 1980's Western Aluminum 14 footer on a shore lander trailer, due to the death of a friend of mine unexpectantly, it of course needs a few things, it has sat for a few years, came win new seats, minkota trolling motor, looks to be in pretty good shape. Unfortunately, as with many boats it seems this company has been sold quite a few times over the last few years and information is not easy to find on this boat.

Anybody ever own one of these, and if so, what did you think of it, it is a nice wide boat, so should be pretty stable, I am planning on putting my Mercury 110 on the back, so should be a nice trolling boat, seems to have plenty of room for a good load.

Really not the way I wanted to get a boat, but now that I have it, it is going to be used.

Now I have 4 boats in the yard and the wife is starting to look at me real funny!

I had a 14ft Western, with a 25hp, and mid steering, it was very stable (65 inchs wide). All in all a good boat. Wish I still had it. Sorry about your loss.
