I have an Evinrude 1975 6 hp model 6504.
I had a Seloc manual which covered it, but it has "grown legs" but was not as specific as I would have liked..

Time to replace.

Cheapest option (and it's from eBay) is a 1974 model manual, or a 1977 model manual. Mid $20's
The more expensive for the 1975 year (exact match)is billed as a "Factory Service manual", ~ $35- but I am wondering whether this is truly an original or reprint of an original, rather than a knock-off of some sort.

Website is Marineengine.com

Is the 1974 "close enough?" for just about anything. It is the real McCoy.

You can probably find what you need at www.outboardbooks.com This is the Ken Cook Company and they print good factory service manuals.

Why not get the correct year?

Why not get the correct year?

Because when I asked the question, the closest that I could find in a KNOWN OEM manual was on eBay and happened to be '74 or '77.

The Ken Cook option should have been my first choice...and they have the correct year...I forgot about that source.

Thanks for the responses.
Good solution as usual.
